We need to quickly copy VM guest files off a remote ESX5 i local hard drive onto a Western Digital network drive - then ship the WD drive
back to corporate and add the VMs to inventory. We tried using WinSCP and the vSphere Client - both are very slow (<5 MB per second) or
just stop running after a period of time. We have approximately 2TB worth of files to copy. Is there a way to mount the WD network drive
and copy directly from the host to the WD ? We tried to mount it as a NFS, but get errors suggesting possible permissions issues. Has anyone
been successful in doing what we are trying. Thanks in advance.
