Re: Rebuilding a VCenter already assigned to a cluster

Thanks for the comments.

This obviously could be simple but this is a production system and I don’t want to loose my data.

This situation is I've a two node cluster 192.168.202.171 and 192.168.202.172 both esxi 5.1 hosts that were originally built with 192.168.202.170
as the management vCenter machine.

I lost the vCenter machine and now only have access to my esxi host directly.

Is it just a simple case of rebuilding the vCenter machine and then installing the VSA manager and repairing the cluster using the VSA manager
tool?

I'm very wary about making any changes to our risk management system without full knowledge of the after affects of my actions.

Thankfully I’ve the Install, Configure course coming shortly but would like to get out of this predicament prior to this for peace of mind, and maintain employment
