Its widely known one cannot snapshot a VM with RDMs in physical compatibility mode only virtual but it is possible to take one if the memory is excluded (and or the quiesce guest file system is ticked).
Question is if a snapshot is successfully taken with the memory option unticked are the RDMs recovered the same as the standard VMDK disks or are the RMDs ignored?
Example: A VM running 1 x VMDK standard disk and 1 x RDM. If a snapshot is taken and the memory excluded, and I revert to this snapshot, will only the VMDK disk be reverted to that point in time or is it a case where the VMDK disk reverts back to the point the snapshot was taken but the RDM is “ignored” and will contain any changes made since the snapshot and you’ve a mismatch VM with an original reverted VMDK disk and a RDM that’s current.
