VMware has done a shameful job of providing support documentation and processes for managing the vcenter appliance. I have been a big proponent of this direction with the appliance up until this last month. Now I'm stuck with an issue being supposedly caused by vflash. vflash can only be managed by vcenter 5.5 web client. I cannot manage it even at the esxcli level other than view and set. I cannot manage vm's with hardware levels = 10 from the good ol fat client.
IMHO they are growing too fast with all these crazy cloud this cloud that offerings when they should be concentrating on the core product most of use vSphere (ESXi and vcenter)... RANT OFF!
