Can’t get rid of a ghost vCenter server in the vSphere WEB Client

I recently upgraded to vShpere 5.5U1A.

I elected to install a new Win 2012 R2 551 vCenter server instead of upgrading the W2K8R2 5.5 server to 5.5U1a After all was said and done, there is still a pointer somewhere leading back to the W2K8 R2 5.5 server.

Every time I open the vSphere WEB client I’m greeted by the following message: “Could not connect to one or more vCenter Server systems: https://SLABvCent55.RES.SLAB.FDIC.Gov:443/sdk”

I can’t find where the WEB client is picking this up.  The server has been deleted from disk and there are no pointers to it that I know of, but it keeps showing up in the WEB client. How do I get rid of it?

I’ve tried to take the steps in KB 2007713, but the “default install” of my environment does not match the paths or structure outlined in the KB.

How do I kill this critter once and for all?

Thanks in advance!
