Hello,

 

I would also make sure you have a backup of the Cisco VEM for the Nexus 1000V, if that goes away you run in the same issues for networking if vCenter goes away. This is one reason I place all my management tools on a VSS and not a VDS of any type. This way I have VSS for mgmt, VDS for workloads, NK1V for other workloads. 3 control planes, very different mechanisms can actually improve overall security if implemented properly.

 

Just more to think about. vCenter is the CENTER of your virutalization management, loosing it will impact management, but should not impact any running workloads.
