Hello i am currently running 7 ESXi host 4.1 -5.1 servers in 7 diffenrent cities. Each host contain 4-5 VM. They are connected togheter in vCenter appliance 5.1 in one of the location using NAT with really bad WAN speed.(but they stay connected in vCSA after 2 days of debugging)
Since getting the backup done over the too slow WAN connection is not an option. I'm looking for a backup solution that would be able to be started and monitored within vCenter but would be done locally on each host. With little load on the WAN.
Only 1 or 2 VM per host would need backup.
I've looked at solutions like ghettoVCBg2 script but for me it would be better with something linked into vcenter like an appliance.
Also, each location have is own NFS storage.
Anyone think im crazy ? Or any input ?
