Can't start VM even with assigned permission

Hello *,

I am using the vSphere Server Appliance to host some Linux VM's. Now our Windows admin came along that he needs some Windows VM's with the following permissions:

Open the console

Mount CD media

Snapshot management

Power On

Power Off

I have configured the VM's and created a role with the following rights:

Virtual machine

-> Interaction (Answer questions, Configure CD media, Console interaction, Create screenshots, Device connection, Power Off, Power On, Reset, Suspend, VMware Tools install)

-> Snapshot management (Create, Remove, Rename, Revert to -Snapshot)

Then I created an user account for our Windows admin and combined the account with the role for the VM's.

Now, when he log in, he can only see theses VM's. Great, so far. But he is neither able to power them, create snapshots nor open the console.

Also when I change his role to the default "Administrator" role, he is still not able to do what he requested.

Any ideas what's wrong?

Regards,

Marc
