Well, the obvious answer is "Something may not work!" 
To be able to help, you need to provide some details like the version of the vCenter Server appliance, it's network configuration, the VM's network configuration for the mentioned network configuration (NAT, Host-Only, Bridged) and the host's network configuration (e.g. the output of ipconfig /all in case of a Windows host)
