Thanks

Yes I do have dedicated DB server. I have two query In case vcenter server crashed and not able to repair the same, then if I create new VC and point to existing DB then vDS and all old configuration will be restored , correct me if I am wrong.

on every 1st week if I take a clone as backup on a monthly basis for VC server and my actual VC goes down in last week, if I poweron my clone VC server then will it have all latest config details (task/events) and whatever change we have done within last 20-25 days as still we are referring to old DB, plz correct me if I m wrong

Note: We are using two vDS switch ( one is vmware dvSwitch and other is Cisco Nexus dvSwitch which is deployed from Cisco Hardware. Cisco Nexus VM is directly running on cisco hardware itself and from there they have deployed VSM, PG etc.....

regards

Mr VMware
