Yes I do have dedicated DB server. I have two query In case vcenter server crashed and not able to repair the same, then if I create new VC and point to existing DB then vDS and all old configuration will be restored , correct me if I am wrong.

Yes if the DB is fine, all the configurations related to inventory and networking will be retained. All you have to do is build a new vCenter and point it to old DB.

on every 1st week if I take a clone as backup on a monthly basis for VC server and my actual VC goes down in last week, if I poweron my clone VC server then will it have all latest config details (task/events) and whatever change we have done within last 20-35 days as still we are referring to old DB, plz correct me if I m wrong

Yes you are right. But its tricky. Technically its right. I will try this in my lab once and tel you the outcome.
