How have you configured LDAP in vCenter? Is the vCenter joined to the domain? I had the similar issue when using the first option when configuring LDAP. Cant remember what it was called (can check when I connect again). Can you try changing the LDAP configuration to use "AD as an LDAP source" or similar. Also, in the current configuration, can you check if you are able to login using UPN format.
I'm aware of how to create scheduled tasks on a VM in the web client which is now done on the object opposed to being on the Home screen using the C# client but when using the old C# method, you could see at a glance a list of VMs with tasks scheduled. I cant see a way of seeing the same list using the web client, you seem to have to select the VM each time.
Is there a way to see ALL scheduled tasks somewhere as if you forget the name of a VM with a scheduled task, I don't see a way of finding it easily.
Thanks..

I would recommend to get at least Microsoft SQL Server 2014 for vCenter Server 6.5 to work properly. I already tested it and it works like a champ!

Hi,
Sorry for the slow reply.
I see the option "Launch Remote Console" but when I click it it prompts me to download VMRC.
I can view consoles on the flash Web Client without needing any additional software.
Is the VMRC required to view consoles on the HTML5 web client?
Hi Everyone,
I have done the same in windows based vCenter 6.0 U2
I have logged in vcenter machine as local administrator and done the remaining tasks as you have mentioned. the issue got resolved. Try the same.
When connecting vCenter error "Call "ServiceInstance.RetrieveContent" for object "ServiceInstance" on Server "vCenterServer" faile".
After restarting the vCenter issue fixing. Each time we are restarting the vCenter the fix the issue. In the same time there was a Citrix VDI was not connecting to users. the new Citrix VDI are queued in vCenter. After vCenter restart the vCenter and Citrix VDi are connecting to users.
vCenter 5.1.0 Build 1235233
Numbers of host in cluster 10. Host containing Citrix VM servers and desktop.
You need to download & install VMRC make sure it's installed on your local system. Optionally, You can download the VMRC installer here

VMware Remote Console (WMRC) provides console access and client device connection to VMs on a remote host. it's a standalone application for Windows and Mac OS that can be used in VMware vSphere

I am having a similar problem. I am using English. I created a new cluster a couple of weeks ago and cannot see events from the web client or windows client just for that cluster and hosts.
I just updated vCenter to 6.0 U3b and the cluster hosts are using ESXi 5050593 which I believe is the latest. I have older clusters running version 4600944 that are working fine with the same vCenter.
This morning I tried something different and logged into one of the new hosts with the client, did not use vcenter, and I can see events for the host and VMs but there is no task log. It appears that it is probably the ESX version and not the vCenter version.
I have not been able to find any resolution yet.
All -
I installed vCenter Server 6.5 successfully a few months ago and it was working fine. Now I get this error in a web browser:
I have seen many people referring to the vSphere Web Client Service but just do not see that as an installed service. Event logs show nothing. All vmware
services are running. Also an ODBC connection to the SQL server tests okay.
What happened???

Thanks for the reply. Annoying you can view the console without VMRC on the old web client but the new HTML5 web client needs additional software
In HTML5 also you can open Web-console (without having VMRC)
Below are the steps.
1) Select the VM.
2) Go to Summary tab --> Click on the VM image(Make sure browser pop-ups are allowed)
Note: VM image link will be enabled only when VM is powered ON.

Hi,
I just intalled Vsphere center and I connect to vSphere Web client. (V6)
I want to add a esxi host (V6).
After the authentication pagen I have an error on the licence page. I get this message :
com.vmware.license.client.cis.components.management.AssignLicenseFormFactory is not exported by
any plugin
and I can't add my host.
I have no licence key in evaluation of vcenter.
How to solve my issue and add a host ?
Thanks
Which version of vCenter you have installed?
If you are running 60U1 then there is a known issue regarding licencing UI in web client and workaround has been documented in below KB.

is it vCenter on windows or VCSA?
It's vCenter on window. I tried the keynote given by LokeshHK in the first answer but I still get the error...
